Steady Rest for MIDI lathes (12" swing)

$150.00

The steady rest is made with high quality baltic birch and not the stuff from the big box stores. This will fit most MIDI lathes that have a 12” to 12.5” swing such as the Jet 1221, Laguna 12|16, and Rikon 70-150VSR. It uses 70mm 82a inline roller skate wheels. The hinged design allows you to attach it to the lathe without removing your workpiece.

I personally use this on my Jet 1221. You can see me using the v1 version of this steady rest here.

Curious how I build them? Check out these videos: v1, v2

If you just need the plans and can make one yourself, go here.

Note: these are build to order and requires a 1 to 2 week lead time.

If you are interested in a larger version of this, please contact me.
